Yes. The tracking script sets zero cookies and writes nothing to localStorage — it uses sessionStorage, which the browser wipes when the tab closes. There is no persistent identifier on your visitor's device. Don't take our word for it: read the entire tracker. (Our dashboard login uses a normal session cookie for you, the account owner — but the tracker on your visitors sets none.)

The dashboard is hosted, like Fathom and Simple Analytics. But the code that actually runs on your visitors — the tracker — is fully public, so you can audit exactly what's collected. Your data exports to CSV at any time, so there's no lock-in. If open-source self-hosting is a hard requirement for you, use Plausible or Umami; we won't pretend otherwise.

GDPR risk comes from retaining personal data — and we store none: no cookies, no visitor IPs, no cross-site IDs. We do show country, region and city, but each is derived from the visitor's location at Cloudflare's edge and the IP is discarded on the spot — there's no personal identifier at rest to transfer. That said, if you have a strict EU-data-residency mandate, Plausible or Simple Analytics are EU-hosted and honestly a better fit today; we can pin to Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction on request. We'd rather tell you that than bluff.

It's been running in production on our own sites for months, not a launch-day demo. The tracker is public — audit it, or file an issue. A named human on our board is accountable for it. And because full data export means you're never locked in, even a worst-case shutdown wouldn't strand your data. Judge the running product and the auditable code, not the fact that AI helped build it.

No catch, and no VC subsidy propping it up. It runs on Cloudflare's edge, which is genuinely cheap at this scale. Fair use: if you're pushing tens of millions of pageviews a month, we'll reach out to talk — we will never silently throttle you or quietly change the price. A stated ceiling is more honest than "UNLIMITED*" with fine print.

Plausible is genuinely great — especially if you want EU hosting or open-source self-hosting, and you should use it if those are dealbreakers.
